  • Gray Hall

    Chairman, President & CEO

    Gray Hall joined Alert Logic as CEO in 2009 as a 20-year veteran of the IT industry. Since his tenure began, Gray has built a new executive team, focused the company’s growth strategy on hosting and cloud service providers, driven revenue growth from less than $10 million to more than $60 million in annual revenue, acquired Armorlogic, and re-capitalized the company in a buyout transaction with Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe in 2013. Prior to Alert Logic, Hall was CEO of VeriCenter, a managed hosting provider he co-founded in 1999 and grew from start-up to $80 million in annual revenue until its successful sale to SunGard Data Systems in 2007. After VeriCenter, Gray served as Executive-in-Residence at Fidelity Equity Partners, a $500 million middle-market buyout fund backed by Fidelity Investments. Earlier in his career Hall spent seven years at IBM, where he led the formation and launch of IBM’s Center for Scalable Computing Solutions in 1994, and several years in the venture capital industry. Gray is a member of the Board of Directors of Limelight Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:LLNW).

  • Tony de Nicola

    Director

    Mr. de Nicola is Co-President of Welsh Carson and a member of the Management Committee, having joined Welsh Carson in 1994. Prior to joining Welsh Carson, he worked for four years in the private equity group at William Blair & Company. Previously, Tony worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department. He graduated from DePauw University and received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Tony currently serves on the boards of directors for Alert Logic, Transfirst, DriveCam, OHL Logistics, and the Galeos Group. Tony was a director in prior WCAS portfolio companies including Alliance Data Systems (NYSE: ADS), Valor Communications Group (acquired by Windstream), Centennial (acquired by AT&T) and DexMedia (acquired by RR Donnelley).

  • Mike Donovan

    Director

    Mr. Donovan joined Welsh Carson in 2001 and is a General Partner focused on investments in the information technology and software industries. Mike currently serves on the boards of directors for Alert Logic, the Galeos Group, Getwell Network and DriveCam, among other private companies. Before joining Welsh Carson, he worked at Windward Capital Partners and in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch. Mike graduated from Yale College.

  • Darren Battistoni

    Director

    Mr. Battistoni joined Welsh Carson in 2004 and is a Principal focused on investments in the information technology and software industries. Darren currently serves on the boards of directors for Alert Logic, Peak 10, NewAsurion, and SRS Inc., among other private companies. Before joining WCAS, he worked in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston. Darren graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

  • Jim Lewandowski

    Director

    Mr. Lewandowski joined the Board of Directors of Alert Logic in 2013. Jim was previously Senior Vice President at Rackspace, The Open Cloud Company, for more than four years of exceptional growth immediately following the company’s successful IPO in 2008. Prior to Rackspace, Jim was Executive Vice President of the Americas at McAfee, where he led his business unit through four years of accelerating growth. In his 25+ years in the technology industry, Jim has also held senior executive positions at Yahoo, BMC Software, and IBM. Jim currently operates a private consulting business specializing in business strategies for high-growth companies.

  • Raymond Ranelli

    Director

    Mr. Ranelli joined Welsh Carson in 2009 as a Senior Operating Executive. Prior to joining Welsh Carson, he was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers for over 20 years, until his retirement from the company in 2003. Raymond held several positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers including Audit Partner, Transaction Services Partner, Managing Partner of the Washington D.C. Regional Offices and Vice Chairman and Global Leader of the Financial Advisory Services practice with operations in 20 countries. Raymond has served on Audit Committees of several WCAS portfolio companies since 2003.
