Alert Logic Secures Additional $5M to Continue Rapid Growth and Product Innovation

Funding led by Hunt Ventures

HOUSTON - JULY 14, 2006 - Alert Logic, the only on-demand IT network security company dedicated to small and mid-sized businesses, today announced that it has raised $5 million in Series B venture capital financing. The new round of financing, led by Austin-based Hunt Ventures, will be used to accelerate Alert Logic's position as one of the fastest growing high-tech companies in Texas. The funding also includes existing investors DFJ Mercury, Access Venture Partners and OCA Ventures.

Alert Logic has been able to gain more than 100 customers nationwide and has experienced more than 100% growth over the past year offering the industry's only on-demand IT security solution for SMBs that brings together the convenience of the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model and the security of 24x7 surveillance by human security experts, into one seamlessly integrated service. The Alert Logic service can be rapidly deployed to provide network protection from intrusions and Internet worms, continuous vulnerability discovery and regulatory compliance reporting.
