AWS re:Invent: Alert Logic Cloud Defender and Taking a DevOps Approach to Security

At this year’s AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas, over 13,000 AWS users and enthusiasts descended on the Sands Expo for a week of learning about everything AWS. Just prior to the conference kick off, we announced the availability of Alert Logic Cloud Defender, our new suite of security and compliance products and managed services designed to protect an organization’s most sensitive data. We were excited to talk to attendees about this new suite and we look forward to helping organizations meet their security and compliance needs for their AWS environments. There were hundreds of breakout sessions during AWS re:Invent that covered diverse topics such as developing apps for the Fire Phone, using AWS to analyze vaccine yields and everything in between. We were fortunate to share a breakout session with our friends from Chef and talk about how organizations can incorporate security controls into their DevOps programs. With over 300 in attendance, Paul Fisher, VP of Operations at Alert Logic and George Miranda, Engineer and Evangelist at Chef, discussed how organizations can take a DevOps approach to security.
