Alert Logic has been going strong for 20 years, and today marks the beginning of our next growth chapter as we have officially become part of HelpSystems.

Going forward, we will be referred to as Alert Logic by HelpSystems. This subtle name change signals a future that is even brighter as we continue delivering the most comprehensive MDR capabilities and same unrivaled security outcomes that Alert Logic has always been known for.

Having served as Alert Logic’s Chief Operating Officer and CTO the last three years, I’m inspired by a future that brings us closer to realizing Zero Trust. With HelpSystems, we are well-positioned to lead the cybersecurity industry down that path, offering the broadest portfolio of pre- and post-breach solutions. Our combined ability to reduce the likelihood and impact of an attack is truly unmatched.

I’ve spoken with many of our employees over the last few days and have been overwhelmed by their enthusiasm and excitement toward taking the first steps to unlock the opportunity ahead. Our culture is one of customer obsession, team-first, and a passion for advancing innovation. HelpSystems has steadily amassed an expansive cybersecurity portfolio and now, with its acquisition of Alert Logic, we will have access to more resources, new ideas, and cybersecurity experts (like us!).

As the Alert Logic Managing Director for HelpSystems, Onkar Birk oversees all business operations and go-to-market strategies for Alert Logic, as well as product delivery, innovation, threat intelligence, R&D, and the SOC. Previously, Birk was COO and CTO for Alert Logic until the company’s acquisition by HelpSystems in March 2022, where he was responsible for product strategy and development.

Birk has built his reputation as a leader focused on delivering products to market with customer success, swift execution, and the development of talent on his teams.

Prior to Alert Logic, he led technology transformation for global clients, driving revenue generation through customer success. Birk also spent seven years in product strategy consulting, and was General Manager for the Avaya Services and Contact Center Solutions Division.
