At Fortra’s Alert Logic, our partners are integral to our go-to-market strategy. They also provide valuable insights into cybersecurity, industry challenges, and market trends.

Through our blog series, Alert Logic’s Partner Perspectives, we’re sharing our partners’ expertise on the constantly evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Introducing Towerwall

Towerwall offers a full stack of cybersecurity services and solutions from all major leading vendors, including Fortra’s Alert Logic. The organization conducts integrated risk assessment and management programs, data preparedness, virtual CISO services, compliance, and penetration testing. They serve clients across a wide range of industries, including banking and financial services, healthcare, and education. Over the past 25 years, Towerwall has earned a sound reputation based on their track record.

Alert Logic connected with Janelle Drolet, Vice President of Operations and Sales at Towerwall, to gain her insights into the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape:

Janelle Drolet (JD): Apart from the advances in large language models and GenAI, we’re seeing a lot of federal regulations being introduced, some of which require financial services to conduct annual penetration testing. The SEC recently introduced new incident disclosure rules for any “material” breaches suffered by public companies. In March 2025, new PCI DSS requirements will necessitate the need to install web application firewalls.

What are the biggest security challenges companies face today?

JD: Threat actors are evolving and becoming more sophisticated. Now, unskilled actors can troll the dark web and purchase ransomware-as-a-service kits, buy stolen credentials, and even hire hacking services. Organizations will need to redraft their Acceptable Use polices to include employee governance of AI tools and technology.

What advice would you give to an organization looking to implement a new cybersecurity initiative and thinking about collaborating with a partner?

JD: Find the right partner like Towerwall that will customize your cybersecurity program with the most appropriate tools and solutions. Make sure your partner aligns its cybersecurity strategy with your business goals. In addition, ensure the partnership aligns with your risk tolerance, and it executes a program for successful implementation.

In your experience, what are the biggest benefits for businesses in working with a combined solution from your company and Fortra’s Alert Logic?

JD: We are proud that Towerwall was named Alert Logic’s “Partner of the Year” in 2021. Customers benefit by having 24/7 eyes on threat intelligence and the network. Alert Logic provides log management (SIEM), vulnerability management, monthly scans, and security system integrity monitoring. Together, we provide pen testing services for our joint customers.

How does your partnership with Alert Logic contribute to a more collaborative and holistic approach to cybersecurity for clients?

JD: To cite a use case, we collaborated on a three-year project proposal for a nationwide food chain and won their business. Proposing an MDR solution, Alert Logic and Towerwall were able to clearly demonstrate our value by showcasing the benefits of our joint solution.

What are some of the key considerations for businesses when choosing security partners, and how does Alert Logic fit into that equation?

JD: We are big believers in something that sounds so easy but in practice is little understood. We are big supporters of plain “listening.” Listening to client challenges — what’s not working, their limitations, their frustrations. Then we define how best to solve their unique challenges. We always put the customer first.

What exciting developments or innovations do you see on the horizon for the cybersecurity industry, and how do you anticipate Alert Logic playing a role?

JD: Generative AI has received more than its fair share of horror stories; however, there is a lot of good potential for AI to make itself known for security mitigation efforts. This is only the start. Alert Logic is the right choice of a partner, one that does business with integrity and walks alongside its customers in their journey to develop and bring forward the best possible security posture.

We appreciate Towerwall taking the time to sharing these insights. Learn more about Alert Logic’s partner program.
